One Year…
has almost elapsed since we headed to Japan to spend two semesters with the University of Tokyo exchange program. We were the 18th generation and encountered many ups and downs throughout our time there.
Despite the downs with the program, I hope we were able to motivate some improvement and reflection over some aspects of the program for the sake of future students through our feedback.
I enjoyed my time immensely there and I’ll always remember it with much nostalgia. It was one stage of my (university) life that I won’t be able to repeat, at least not with the same people. But, I am glad to have gone and met all the wonderful people that I did. Even if my fellow AIKOM comrades and Japanese friends are separated by miles of oceans and seas, even if we may no longer talk regularly or be an everyday part of each others lives, I will always remember and think back fondly to the times we had in Japan. Hopefully we can catch up at a reunion one day - I want to hear how successful everyone has become and how happy they are, perhaps having found the love of their life teehee ;)
And so, there ends one chapter of my life, as well as this tumblr blog of sorts. Alas. if I return to Japan some day, a new chapter shall commence.
Thank you and see you!
